The Aurora Blue is a classic blue ink that can be used in most fountain pens. Despite the large variety of inks available in the market, the blue inks remain a popular choice to use in any situation.
Here’s a brief introduction to Aurora Blue:

Choosing your favorite blue ink can be a challenge! With so many amazing blue shades in the market, it’s not easy to find the perfect blue ink that suits your personality or a specific occasion. There’s a perfect blue shade for any person out there, the problem is how to find it.
The Aurora Blue ink is a beautiful blue that doesn’t distract you even though it is a vibrant color. Just like the Aurora Black ink, the Blue also dries fairly quickly, which is definitely a plus when you are using it in your everyday life.
While the shading is very low when you are using the Aurora Blue ink, you will still be able to notice some very slight differences among your letters. Nevertheless, they’re not enough to distract you.
Here’s Aurora Blue Ink Drop Test:
There are 2 important factors to consider when you are looking for the best blue ink: the bleeding and the feathering. Those 2 show if the ink is well behaved on most types of paper or in most types of nibs. Again, just like with the Aurora Black ink, both the bleeding and the feathering are almost inexistent in this ink.
This is a well behaved blue ink that can even be used in some types of regular paper.
Here’s the paper towel test:
Overall, the Aurora Blue ink is a great shade of blue that allows you to work with distractions. Without feathering or bleeding, it dries fairly quickly as well.

Love those videos. Please keep posting more reviews.
Thanks a lot for your support. 😉 Have a great day.
I like this blue, but it tends to get a little washed out when it dries. Am I the only one?
It depends on the paper and on the pen, but I tend to agree with you. This ink looks a little different once it’s completely dry. I tried to show that on the pictures used on this review. Thank you for your feedback.
Your handwriting looks really good. Aurora Blue looks good, but It doesn’t seem it can beat my Kon-Peki 😉 But thanks a lot for all the shots and detail.
Thank you James. To be fair, It’s not easy to compete with Kon-peki. Fortunately we’re not limited to just 1 blue 🙂 Have a great day.
I only use this one and Waterman ink on my vintage pens. Never had any problem.
Glad to hear. 🙂 It’s a nice ink.
Nice ink, and that dip pen seems great.
Thank you. Yes, dip pens are fun 👌
Looks a little with the Waterman Serenity blue. Am I right?
You’re right 🙂
This Ink works quite well for me!
Nice to hear it 🙂
I enjoy the article.

Aurora Blue is pretty good. Thanks for sharing your opinion about it 🙂
Your post is really helpful, thanks. I was considering this ink for awhile.
Glad to help 🙂
Love your ink samples. Will definitely order more in the future. Thank you.
Thanks a lot 🙂 Enjoy them 😉
Good review. Can I ask, what nib are you using on that first video?
That’s a Brause 66 EF nib.
Thanks a lot.
You’re welcome Rodigo. Have a great day.
I got Aurora Blue recently. It’s not my favourite blue but it’s a pretty good one. If you can please review Private Reserve inks. Thanks in advance.
Thank you Giulio. We don’t carry many Private Reserve Inks, but I’ll do my best.
Good review 👍
Thank you!
