Total Flexibility
Each cleaning bullet allows you to make up to 20ml of highly concentrated pen flush, or up to 50ml of softer solution. The highly concentrated flush is designed for more difficult cleaning on stained cartridges or clogged feeds. The light solution is suitable for the minor regular cleanings that you do between ink changes.
DIY Pen Flush In 4 Easy Steps
It’s really simple to create your own pen flush. You only need a recipient and water. Our cleaning bullets are designed to be used with tap water. But if you prefer, you may use distilled water.
- Open your cleaning bullet and pour it into a large recipient.
- Add 18ml of water (for the concentrated solution) or 48ml of water (for the light solution).
- Mix the solution for 15 seconds. During this part, you’ll probably get some foam.
- You can let your flush sit for a while to get rid of the foam or you can simply pour it into your storage container.
You can use different water and cleaning combinations if you want to. But these 20 and 50ml work really well for their intended use.
Your Own Pen Flush
This pen flush is designed and formulated to assure a spotless cleaning. You can fill your pens, cartridges or accessories with it, and use it just as you use water on your regular pen cleaning.
This pen flush is a gentle solution that won’t damage your fountain pens. Nevertheless, it will help you get rid of any ink residues that you may have missed during your regular water cleaning.
You can use it while you clean your pens on any ink change, or you can use it just after a couple of ink changes, to assure your fountain pen feed, converter and nib are completely free of any ink.
If you refill empty cartridges, this pen flush can also help. Simply refill a cartridge with it, let it act for 12 to 24 hours, and clean the cartridge with water.
Please note:
1 – Never use a cleaning bullet without water. This product needs water to be used on your pens or accessories. If you attempt to use it without water, it’s such a highly concentrated formula that might damage parts of your pen.
2 – Never drink this cleaning solution and be careful when you use it. Keep this cleaning solution out of reach of children and pets. And don’t mix any other cleaning products with it.
