Introducing The Black Hero 329 Fountain Pen

Black-Hero-329-featured-image

Introducing the Black Hero 329. If you love classical fountain pens, you need to check out the Hero 329. Clearly inspired by the vintage Parker 51, the Hero 329 has a lot of things going for it.

Black-Hero-329

With a smooth stainless steel fine nib, this Hero 329 offers an amazing writing experience.

Fountain Pens: An Exclusive Writing Experience

fountain pen turns your writing tasks into moments of pleasure. They provide you with the most smooth writing experience and provide a feel that’s completely different than the one you get with a ballpoint pen.

No matter if you’re writing your notes or tasks in a piece of paper, or if you’re signing documents, a fountain pen turns those simple moments into a relaxing experience.

Hero 329 Specs

This is a light pen. While the full weight with the cap is near 18 grams, uncapped, the pen weights next no nothing.

This is a major advantage or disadvantage depending on your preferences. I personally prefer heavy and large pens, but I still find this hero 329 fun.

The cap is a simple pull-type cap and you can write with the pen capped at the bottom. It’s actually the best way to use it in my opinion since the pen length is just 126mm.

This pen comes with a pen sac, so no need to use converters or cartridges. You simply insert the nib into the ink bottle, give a couple of squeezes on the pen sac, and you fill it.

Again, it all depends on your preferences. It’s not the best filing system in the world for me, but it adds some personality and charisma to the pen. As a fountain pen user, I tend to stick to converters most of the time, but I find this filling system interesting for a change.

This is a plastic pen and might be the lightest pen I’ve used so far. That might give you the impression the pen is not durable or reliable enough, but the truth is I’ve been using some of these pens for years and never had a single reliability problem with them.

While some premium plastic or acrylic fountain pens get some cracks over the years, my heroes 329 remain as new. So, while the pen won’t give you a premium feel, it is reliable and practically indestructible.

This is a highly comfortable fountain pen. Additionally, the design and weight are perfectly balanced so you can use this pen on long writing sessions.

Unlimited Personalization

You can easily personalize this Hero 329 Fountain Pen to your preferences. You can easily get a completely different writing experience with it by replacing the nib. If you’re interested in getting the most out of your new fountain pen, check our replacement nibs. This pen is 100% compatible with our hooded nibs.

All these nibs can be used in any compatible fountain pen. Therefore, you have the chance of changing and adapting any of your fountain pens to your hand lettering or your taste.

If you’re looking for a reliable and classical fountain pen, this Hero 329 can be a terrific choice. Some pens promise a lot and deliver just a little. This Hero is on the opposite side of that spectrum. It looks good if you like a classical design, but won’t feel like a premium pen.

But then, it keeps writing and performing for a long time. It’s not a sexy pen, it’s a workhorse. And we all need a couple of these on our collections.

All in all, the Black Hero 329 is a pretty neat fountain pen. If you want to read more about it simply click the links and if you love what we’ve done with it, get your own Hero 329 today.

6 Benefits of Bullet Journaling

bullet-journaling-featured-image

Bullet journaling is becoming more and more popular. Even though you may not be the best writer, the truth is that bullet journaling has nothing to do about writing your deepest and darkest secrets.

The reality is that bullet journaling can be used for a wide range of things. Ultimately, it has been successfully used as a creative way to organize your goals and tasks.

bullet-journaling

One of the things that you need to understand about bullet journaling is that there aren’t really any rules that you need to follow. You just need to find a way for it to work for you.

Between work, errands, appointments, coffee meetings with friends, dates, therapy sessions, you name it, you can annotate everything in your bullet journal in a creative way that works for you. But why should you do it and not to simply continue using your to-do lists?

The Main 6 Benefits Of Bullet Journaling

#1: It’s Affordable And Highly Customizable:

Highly-Customizable

One of the best things about bullet journaling is that you can choose one depending on your budget. Even if you have a low budget, you won’t have any problems finding the perfect bullet journal for you.

In case you already used a planner before, you know that they include specific sections. However, sometimes, you need a planner that can adapt to yourself, to your own life, to your own to-do lists. So, when you are looking to start bullet journaling, you will discover that you can create all these sections by yourself. You can easily divide it into the months, days, even into hours if you like. Besides, you can make one week with all the separated days or you can skip one or two. It’s all about your preferences.

Discover our great selection of fountain pens and ballpoint pens.

#2: It’s Easy To Set Up:

One of the things that may be a bit scary is to look at a blank bullet journal. However, filling it with the content that you need is actually incredibly easy.

The truth is that you can divide it as you want and as you need. You can use multiple colors or just one. You can add a key or a legend so that you can keep track of your tasks in an easier way.

Are you looking to add a bit of color to your journal?

#3: It Helps You Be Organized:

It-Helps-You-Be-Organized

The reality is that with so many different things that you need to do every day, it becomes harder and harder to remember everything. Even when you use to-do lists, it is frequent that you just forget where you put it or that you leave it at home. And this can be incredibly frustrating. So, to prevent this, keeping everything organized in just one place is ideal.

#4: You Will Have It All There:

The reality is that with so much going on in your life, while you are thinking about what you are cooking for dinner, you are remembering that you need to deliver a project today and that it is your turn to pick up kids at school. In the middle, you’ll need to find time to go to the grocery store and call your friend to wish him a happy birthday. Wow… How will you do all that?

Well, the truth is that for many people, this is just one more day in their lives. So, when you bullet journaling, you will have all these things right in the same place and you can easily determine how you can do them all. You can plan ahead and don’t forget about anything.

Make use of the best ink cartridges.

#5: It Increases Your Productivity:

It-Increases-Your-Productivity

One of the things that you will discover when you are bullet journaling is that it will appear that you now have time to do more. While this is mainly because you are planning your day ahead, it is also true that when you have everything that you need to do in the same place will allow you to better organize your time. So, your productivity will increase.

#6: It’s A Great Tool To Keep Track On Your Goals:

We all have our own goals. However, we sometimes forget about them and we just remember which ones they were when it’s another New Year’s Eve. So, it is time to change these things and really commit to the decisions that you make each year, on the 31st of December.

Handwriting Can Make You Smarter

handwriting-featured-image

No one can question that handwriting is rapidly becoming a dying art. After all, you just need to take a look around. It is hard to find a business that runs without using a computer. And if you look at high schools and even elementary schools, kids are led to typing courses since these are seen as crucial.

Technology has changed our society and the way we learn and study. However, this doesn’t mean that we should ditch everything that is “old” such as handwriting. In fact, according to science, handwriting has a lot of benefits. If you don’t believe us, just take Harvard’s University as an example. Harvard teachers don’t allow their students to take notes on their computers. They are only allowed to take notes by using a pen and paper.

handwriting

There are already many different published studies that clearly show that handwriting allows you to improve your critical thinking, your focus, and it can even inspire creativity.

How Handwriting Can Make You Smarter?

#1: Handwriting Improves Your Critical Thinking And Learning Skills:

There are many different studies published that concluded that when you take notes by hand, you will be able to retain information longer. So, you will also get better at answering conceptual questions faster.

Discover the best fountain pens.

#2: Handwriting Enhances Focus:

Handwriting-Enhances-Focus

Even if you never noticed, the reality is that you are a lot more focused on what you are writing when you are doing it by hand rather than when you are typing on a keyboard. So, this can be a great way to learn and even to recall.

#3: Handwriting Prevents Distractions:

Between social media networks, emails, and constant notifications, it is easy to get distracted when you’re in your computer. So, when you are handwriting, you will be able to avoid all these online distractions and focus only on what you are doing.

#4: Handwriting Allows You To Take Better Notes:

Harvard teachers understand the benefits of handwriting and this is the reason why they only allow their students to take notes by hand. The truth is that even though you are faster typing on your keyboard than writing by hand, your notes will be different. When you type your notes you will have a tendency of simply transcribing what is being said. On the other hand, when you are handwriting, you will capture the most important points only.

Do you prefer writing with a ballpoint pen?

#5: Handwriting Inspires Creativity:

Handwriting-Inspires-Creativity

When you are looking for a good idea for a project, it is normal that you simply sit down and use just a pen and a paper to conceive it. This way, you will be avoiding distractions and you are letting your mind work.

#6: Handwriting Helps You Achieve Your Goals:

It’s not by chance that journaling is becoming increasingly popular. More and more people need to focus and look for ideas that can help them. One of them is to keep a journal where they annotate their thoughts and goals.

White-Jinhao-599-fountain-pen-Writing-Sample

Fountain Pens: An Exclusive Writing Experience

fountain pen turns your writing tasks into moments of pleasure. They provide you with the most smooth writing experience and provide a feel that’s completely different than the one you get with a ballpoint pen.

No matter if you’re writing your notes or tasks in a piece of paper, or if you’re signing documents, a fountain pen turns those simple moments into a relaxing experience.

Unlimited fountain pen ink shades

In fountain pens, you have unlimited colors to write with. While on ballpoint pens you have a blue, black or red, in fountain pens you have dozens of shades in each color. No matter your personal taste, there’s a perfect fountain pen ink color for your needs.

Jinhao 599 Vs Lamy Safari

When you look to a Jinhao 599, it’s impossible not to think about the Lamy Safari. The Safari was the original pen with this design, so many people think the 599 is just a clone.

In reality, there’s no way to deny the inspiration behind the Jinhao 599. But the pen itself has its own arguments.

I do love both the Lamy Safari and the Jinhao 599. These pens are practical and make good daily writers. Between the two, I prefer the plastic feel I get on the Safari. The plastic feels thicker than the one you get on a Jinhao 599.

But the Jinhao uses a standard international size converter and a regular nib, so it’s more practical and flexible than the Safari.

The Jinhao 599 Fountain Pen

When you get a 599 you can easily use your favorite fountain pen bottled inks. There’s a converter included. If you want to, you can also use the international-sized cartridges manufactured by most brands (not by Lamy of course).

The 599 is entirely made of plastic. It’s not as thick as the Lamy, so it’s more prone to cracks. But don’t get me wrong. The Jinhao 599 feels good enough, just not as good as the Safari.

The pen weights around 20 grams and the length is 137mm.

Unlimited personalization

This Jinhao 599 Fountain Pen can easily be personalized to your preferences. You can easily get a completely different writing experience with it by replacing the nib. If you’re interested in getting the most out of your new fountain pen check our size #5 replacement nibs. All those replacement nibs are 100% compatible with this pen.

All these nibs can be used in any compatible fountain pen, so you have the chance of changing and adapting any of your fountain pens to your hand lettering or your taste.

What Your Handwriting Says About You

You handwriting reveals a lot more about your personality than you might think. Even though graphology is an ancient art that you keep seeing being used on movies and TV shows, the reality is that this science dates back from the days of Aristotle. One of the things that you may not know is that there are some employers who look at your handwriting to determine your potential.

handwriting

One of the master graphologists today is Kathi McKnight. According to her, “Just from analyzing your handwriting, experts can find over 5,000 personality traits.”

Are you ready to see what your handwriting says about you? Let’s dig in…

#1: The Size Of Your Letters:

  • When you tend to draw big letters, this may indicate that you’re people oriented as well as that you want to feel noticed and understood.
  • When you tend to draw small letters, this may indicate that you’re introvert and that you may have s strong concentration and focus.

Discover some of the best fountain pens.

#2: The Slant:

  • When your handwriting doesn’t show any slant, this may mean that you are pragmatic and that you are ruled by logic, not emotion.
  • In case your handwriting shows a slant to the right, this may mean that you tend to highly value your family and friends and that you are not only sentimental and friendly as well as impulsive.
  • When your handwriting shows a slant to the left, this may mean that you are a “me-oriented”. You are usually reserved and introspective and you prefer to work alone than with other people.

#3: The Pressure:

The-Pressure

  • When you do a lot of pressure while you are writing, this means that you are quick to react as well as that you feel things very intensely.
  • When you do just a light pressure while you are writing, this means that you are not emotionally attached and that you can easily move from place to place.

Are you looking for ballpoint refills or rollerball refills?

#4: The Upper Zone Of Your Small L’s And Small T’s:

  • When you usually draw a looped small “l”, this means that you have big dreams and hopes for the future.
  • If you usually draw a retraced “l”, this means that you have lost your dreams and hopes somewhere along your path.
  • When you draw a looped “t”, this means that you can be so sensitive to criticism that you may even be a bit paranoid.
  • In case you usually draw a retraced “t”, this means that you are self-controlled and disciplined.

#5: The Lower Zone Of The “Y”:

  • If the lower zone of your “y” is slender, this means that you are a good friend.
  • If case the lower zone of your “y” is short, this means that you are a homebody.
  • When the lower zone of your “y” is broad, this means that you have a lot of friends.
  • If the lower zone of your “y” is long, this means that you love to travel.

Try out different pens.

#6: Connecting The Letters:

Connecting-The-Letters

Whenever you are writing a word:

  • If your letters aren’t connected, this means that you make decisions carefully and that you are methodical and logical.
  • If your letters are connected, this means that you are intuitive and intelligent.

#7: The Crossed t’s:

The-Crossed-ts

  • When you cross your t’s in the middle, this means that you have a lot of insecurities. Besides, your goals in life are extremely low.
  • In case you cross your t’s near the top, this means that you have self-esteem and that you have high goals.

#8: The Dotted i’s:

  • When you make a circle instead of a dot on your i’s, this means that you like to stand out. It also indicates that you are playful and childlike.
  • In case you make a regular dot on your i’s, this means that you pay huge attention to detail and that you don’t like clutter.
